Leo Messi “THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME”

Lionel Andreas Messi, commonly known as Leo Messi, is an Argentine professional football player. Even though the world already knows a lot about him, let us remind you once again who he is.

Personal Life:

Leo was born on June 24, 1987, in Rosario, Santa Fe, Argentina. He is 35 years old at the moment. Leo has been married to his childhood friend, Antonella Roccuzzo, since June 30, 2017. Messi has three sons, Mateo, Thiago, and Ciro.

Youth Career:

Messi started playing football at a very young age. He was 13 when he moved to Spain to play football. From 1992 to 1995, he represented Grandoli. He represented Newell’s Old Boys from 1995 to 2000 and Barcelona from 2000 until 2003.

Senior Career:

From 2003 to 2004, Leo represented Barcelona C. He played for Barcelona B from 2004 to 2005. Then he came to the club, where he became the “GOAT.” He represented Barcelona from 2004 until 2021. Messi had to leave Barca unwillingly. He made 520 appearances and scored 474 goals while representing his beloved club. Now he plays for Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).

International Career:

Messi represents Argentina in international football. From 2004 to 2005, Leo played for the Argentina U20 team. From 2005 till now, he’s been playing football for Argentina. He took a break from international football after the defeat against Chile in the Copa America final in 2016, but he came back later. In his 172 appearances in international matches representing Argentina, Leo has scored 98 goals.

Achievements:

Leo won the FIFA U20 World Cup in 2005, the Olympic Gold Medal in Beijing in 2008, the Copa America 2021, and the FIFA World Cup in Qatar in 2022.

He’s also a CONMEBOL UEFA Cup of Champions 2022 winner.

He was runner-up in the 2014 FIFA WC. He also finished second in the Copa America in 2007, 2015, and 2016.

Personal Achievements:

Leo has scored 793 goals in his international and club career. Messi has won 7 Ballond’Orawards, the most by anyone in history. He was the 2009 FIFA Player of the Year and the 2019 Best FIFA Men’s Player.

In 2022, After performing a high level football at club side PSG, Messi entered in world cup in super fine form. He carried his team through out the tournament in a style.

He netted a total of 7 goals and ranked 2nd among 2022 World Cup Players.
