Should Students get limited access to the Internet?

The Internet is one of the important needs of today’s world. The Internet is where we can find information about everything under the sky. It is the most important thing in the world.

Businessmen, teachers, traders, students, everyone depends on the internet for their work. It doesn’t matter whether you are a middle-class person or a millionaire, you need the internet, sometimes for your work and sometimes for entertainment.

If we talk about students,

Today’s youth have the latest technology to help them access information. The advent of Internet-enabled handheld devices has increased the ease of access to information.

You can use the Internet not only for communication, business, banking or entertainment, but you can also use it for education and research.

There are many uses of the internet in a student’s life. Apart from e-tutorials, college projects, and exam preparation, many other activities can be done on the internet which can help students in their studies. But the fact that excess of anything can be harmful applies here as well.

Effect On Mentality:

Students ignore their health, wealth, social and personal life. The only thing they worry about is online. We can see examples of students suffering mentally and physically due to internet addiction.

Weakens Family bonds:

This is the most serious problem for today’s students. They spend most of their day on the internet and hardly interact with their family members. This leads to weak family bonds.

Pornography and adult websites:

Students should focus on their studies and not focus on useless and bad things. But on the Internet, they can easily be introduced to pornographic websites. These types of websites are available in large numbers. There may be a possibility that students may accidentally access these sites and later become addicted.

Social life is disturbed:

A student needs to have a social life, make friends and interact face-to-face but these interactions have been lost somewhere due to overuse of the internet.

The internet is famous for meeting new people and making new friends but they have nothing to do with the people around us. Students get used to messaging and virtual communication instead of going out and meeting friends.

Fraud and Cheating:

Risky games like blue whale, momo etc are also part of the internet. They target students and young children to lure them into doing useless things and eventually kill themselves. They befriend the students and after getting all the information and understanding their weaknesses, they emotionally attack and blackmail them.

Some games are paid games and because of a lack of experience in spending money, kids get cheated and lose a lot of money.

Pain and health issues:

The current craze for playing internet games suggests that students feel lazy and have poor vision. For example, playing video games too much can lead to back pain and neck pain.

Vulgarity:

The Internet is a repository of all information, including negative content such as vulgarity and violence. People who accidentally access vulgarity can see images that scare them for life and cause problems in their future lives because these images can be published without warning.

Conclusion:

Parents should watch their kids all the time. Nothing is more important than protecting students from being addicted to cheating, fraud and obscenity. They need to lead a normal physical and social life. The most important thing is that students should focus on their studies rather than anything else.

All this can be achieved by reducing internet access for students. Although the Internet is a very useful thing, it also has many disadvantages. It is better to allow students to use the internet only for a limited time so that they do not have time for any useless online activities.
